Your child takes the Dungeon Master’s chair. In this private practice session, they run part of an adventure for an experienced Guild Master and receive thoughtful feedback as they go.
Practice by doing
- Open a scene and give players a clear reason to act
- Describe locations, characters, and consequences
- Respond when a player tries something unexpected
- Manage pacing, choices, rules, and turn-taking
- Reflect on what worked and choose a skill to strengthen next
A supportive rehearsal space
The learner can bring a published scene or something they created. The Guild Master acts as a player, pauses when useful, and offers concrete suggestions without taking over the learner’s story.
This lesson can stand alone or become a recurring practice space while the learner prepares to run games for their own group.
